Hey! I'm Adela, a Prague/ London-based multidisciplinary graphic communication designer.
I create visual identities, user experiences and creative projects rooted in research and strategy to ensure they reach the targeted audience and effectively communicate the intended message.
I’m always up for a new challenge. In the last four years, I've worked with businesses of all types, from startups, designers, studios, and passionate business owners to more corporate brands, bringing ideas to life from the initial strategy to the final launch. I have experience working in both print and digital.
I enjoy learning new things, always challenging and evolving my practice through new tools and experiences. Recently, I completed my MA graphic communication design degree at UAL, Central Saint Martins.

08 NomCatchWink: The Playformance

A very special project that pushed my boundaries and challenged me as a creator on all levels
NomCatchWink The Playformance is a camera and body recognition-based gamified experience addressing the performative behaviours on social media.
Social media platforms are a collection of digital performances in the form of videos, pictures, and texts, that are traded for emotional reactions and quick dopamine. In NomCatchWink: The Playformance, I use gamification, body recognition and playful design with a dash of irony to address (and criticise) the performative behaviours on social media. The project aims to spark critical thinking about the performative nature of online spaces, while disrupting and subverting the way we create and share those online performances. “The Playformance“ invites participants to engage in three games — CATCH CATCH, NOM NOM, and WINK WINK.
Framed as a gamified platform, The Playformance sits between a game and a social media platform. Each player is encouraged to play the games to collect three achievement badges, representing three metrics of digital success “Glory Guru, Wisdom Wannabe and Authenticity Advocate. Playing the games produces three visual outcomes capturing specific online performative behaviours. The chat boxes generate quirky comments, and every player's participation contributes to a real-time collective gallery of performances displayed at the end.
Each game focuses on different aspects of specific online behaviours and is inspired by the content we create online.
☺ CATCH CATCH, inspired by TikTok, is rooted in the idea of making videos, dancing and performing to gain social rewards, resulting in a hand dance gif performance. the player uses their hands to catch likes to create a gif in the form of a dance performance. The reward is a “Glory Guru“ achievement badge.
☺ In NOM NOM, the inspiration came from platforms like X/Twitter or Threads and the way we consume and produce information online. The player uses their mouth to eat the words of the screen, resulting in the production of three uncontrolled textual messages, and the collection of a “Wisdom Wannabe“ achievement badge.
☺ WINK WINK was inspired by Instagram, and the question of authenticity in the way we mimic, capture, and share chosen moments online. The player uses face to copy emojis in the form of facial expressions to collect authenticity points. Snapshots taken throughout the game create a grid of images. The reward is an “Authenticity Advocate“ badge.
Altogether, the games and the outcomes are framed into The Playformance, including all three games and a collective gallery of performances.
